The Anti-Corona Programme has turned into an Anti-Crisis one

Bratislava, March 21, 2023 - Originally, pandemic aid was in the form of government loan guarantees that reduce the interest on business loans. Since the summer, however, banks have been offering loans under the name ANTI-CRISIS. ANTI-CRISIS reflects the current challenges facing entrepreneurs: the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, inflation, the polycrisis, and permacrisis.

SIH's programme is an example of a so-called financial instrument - that is, the use of EU funds not for a subsidy or grant, but to support or improve a loan or investment. The advantage is that it is not just a one-off affair, the same money can be used several times.
