SIH successfully exited Boataround.com

Bratislava, July 11, 2024 - Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) has sold its stake in Boataround.com, successfully capitalizing on its investment in this fast-growing online platform for renting sailboats, catamarans and powerboats.

SIH supported the company from NDF II resources in several transactions totalling more than 735 thousand euros. It was a combination of equity and quasi-equity financing together with private investors. The first transaction was realized in the form of a capital investment in two tranches in 2018. In 2020, Boataround.com received support in the form of a convertible loan, while the conversion to the company's share capital was finalized during the same year, whereby SIH increased its share. The last transaction was accomplished in 2022, again as a convertible loan in two tranches.

Boataround.com presents an innovative and attractive way of renting boats in the form of a reservation system, with the help of which the customer can choose from among 26,000 vessels in 88 countries all over the world. The company has recently expanded its market share in lucrative destinations such as Croatia, Germany and Italy. Over 9 years of operation on the market, Boataround.com has served more than 120,000 customers.
